What Is It?
Genesee: Our County, Our Future is a comprehensive planning document that establishes a vision for the area’s next 20 years. This vision is developed by analyzing land use, transportation, housing, environment, and infrastructure, along with gathering input from the public and local stakeholders.
The goal is to create a useful document that will help guide local communities in their decision-making processes.
Get Involved
Genesee: Our County, Our Future will be an interactive process with our partner organizations, community leaders, but most importantly, YOU!
Public input sessions will be held throughout the process, giving you an opportunity to come discuss your ideas and learn more about your county. We welcome your suggestions at any time through this website, email, phone, or stop by our office.

Technical Reports
The end result of The Plan will be an innovative, easy-to-read document that combines many different topics of planning. This section of the website will include infographics, maps, in-depth studies and more as we go through the process.
Topics that will be discussed include housing, roads, recycling, water/sewer infrastructure, and public services, just to name a few. This plan will serve as both Genesee County’s 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan and the HUD Consolidated Plan.
